Frank Green

August 9, 1941 - May 22, 2014

Frank Green was a resident of Winnipeg, Manitoba, member of Shoal Lake # 40 passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at the Health Science Centre.

He was predeceased by his parents Samuel and Antoinette, his brothers Alex, Dave, George, Cecil, Robert, Norbert and his sister Bernadine. He was also predeceased by his nephew Matthew Cherry, nieces Victoria Greene, Shelley and Tina Fair and cousin Grace Chartrand as well as numerous relatives too many to mention.

He will be extremely missed by his only surviving brother Clarence Earl Greene (Corinna Mintuck-Greene) and his children Brenda, Veronica, Zystyna and Ziigwan P. Greene, Aunt Nancy Halfe-Cherry, cousin Alex Halfe, nephew Ryan Cherry and family, nieces Edie and Priscilla Fair, and Arval Cherry and family. His longtime friend Gilbert Land. He will be sadly missed by all of his relatives, the Sinclair, Redsky, Wapioke, Paypom, Cherry, Smith and Land families.

Frank was a miner in his younger days, then he was a professional guide for the Northwest Territories (U.S. and Canada) and was also a bush cutter and a person who followed the Traditional Culture.

Wake will be held on Sunday, May 25, 2014 beginning at 11:00am at the Washagamis Bay Band Office. A Traditional Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 26, 2014 at 10:00 am at the Washagamis Bay Band Office with Elder Joe Morrison officiating with interment to follow.
