Elsa Lange

Elsa Lange, a resident of Kenora, Ontario, passed away on September 29, 2012 at Birchwood Terrace Nursing Home.

Elsa was predeceased by her husband Werner J. Lange. She is survived by her brother Eric Horst (Sis), her sons Gary Lange (Michelle), Dave Lange (Jaye), Rainer Lange (Sandra), her daughter Marion Zebruck (George), her grandchildren Steven, Ryan, Morgan, Tannis, Ben, Erika, Douglas, Tammy and Richard, great grandchildren Georgia Cohen. Elsa is also survived by numerous family members residing in Germany.

Elsa was born in Solingen, Germany on September 27, 1927. She was married on December 17, 1949 and immigrated to Canada in 1954. She was a homemaker and seamstress and was a Ladies Auxiliary volunteer at Pinecrest for many years.

Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy. One of her daily rituals for too many years to count were her morning coffee at 11:00 every morning with her two best friends Marg and Izzy.

The family would like to thank the staff at Birchwood for their care.

Elsa enjoyed living at her home overlooking Rabbit Lake and spending time in her yard and garden.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 5, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre with Reverend Daren Gallivan officiating with interment to follow at Lake of the Woods Cemetery.

The pallbearers will be Morgan Lange, Richard Zebruck, Ryan Lange, Steven Lange, and Kevin Oberlin. Honorary pallbearer will be Ben Lange.
