Yumei Zhang

Yumei Zhang, age 84, of Kennesaw, GA, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 03, 1936 in Fuzhou, China, to her loving parents; Jinku Zhang and Shuqing Chen. Ms. Zhang was a homemaker for her family. Yumei was a loving mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and great grandmother who will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband Faqian Chen.

Ms. Zhang is survived by her loving children, Xun Chen (Xiuru Lin), Juan Chen ( Hongyu Lu), Ying Chen, Yun Chen (Guo Yong Guo); grandchildren, Nathan Chen, Jamie (Stuart) Mulligan, Ling Chen (Yan Su), Xin Lu (Qing Ying Huang), Jin Lu (Zi Zhu), Hauking Lam (Sarah Hsu), Hau Yee Lam (Eric Chien), Chao Ping Guo (Qian Lin), PeiPei Guo; 17 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Ms. Zhang will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at 11:00 AM from the Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for a visitation from 8:00 AM until the service begins at 11:00 AM . The internment will take place following the funeral service at Pine Ridge Memorial Park.

The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to everyone who will not be able to attend the service in person due to the state’s Covid-19 restrictions. (No more than 50 people inside the funeral home at one time). If attending the visitation or service, the staff of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home highly recommends that a face mask be worn and that social distancing is practiced to help prevent the spreading of any possible illnesses and to help keep visitors, friends and family members of Ms. Zhang safe.
