William Roy Greenwood, age 103, of Acworth, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. William was a loving and devoted husband to his wife Elizabeth for 65 plus years. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather, he enjoyed working on his farm in Alabama, and planting a garden. William served his country in the United States Airforce, was christian in faith, and retired from Lockheed. He will be loved and missed by all that knew him.
William is survived by his son Robert Greenwood, daughter Deborah McMichen; two grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
William was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth (Boeneke) Greenwood; parents, James L. Greenwood and Mary Etta (Everett) Greenwood, one brother and two sisters.
A graveside service for William will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Pine Ridge Memorial Park, 2950 Cobb Parkway North, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152.
