Virginia Smith, age 80, of Dallas, passed away Friday, June 1, 2012. Funeral service will be held Monday evening beginning at 8pm in the Chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw with Dr. Gregg Potts officiating. Burial will take place on Tuesday, 11 am at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
Virginia was a homemaker who provided a loving environment for her husband, children, and grandchildren. She loved to cook, fish, and was known to have a green thumb when it came to her flowers. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her.
Those who survive Mrs. Smith are her husband of more than sixty years Sherried; children – Robert Smith, Margaret Newton, Randall Smith, and Franklin Smith; Sister – Bernice Miller; Brother – Glen Bush; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 6pm – 8pm at the funeral home.
