Virginia "Ginger" Carol Dewberry, age 70, passed away on October 11, 2019 in Marietta, Georgia. Ginger was born on December 1, 1948, to the late George and Hazel Dewberry, of Acworth, Georgia. Ginger led a fulfilled life and everyone around her became friends; this was evident throughout her life because everyone loved and adored her and remained by her side. She always wore a smile on her face even when she wasn't feeling well. Ginger had an incredible outlook on life and was an inspiration to many. Her bold personality helped her remain very motivated to not allow any situation hold her down. She had an immense amount of determination to lead her life the way she wanted. The life Ginger chose to lead would set an example for many. She had such compassion for others and had a heart full of love to give. Early in life, Ginger was diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. She was determined to not let this affect her goals or her happiness. She grew stronger and stronger in many ways. Ginger also established early on, a very strong relationship with the Lord. Her faith was evident in all aspects of her life. Ginger had a closeness with God and was always dependent on Him and held their relationship very close to her heart. Ginger was close with her family and friends and will be missed by all.
Ginger is survived by her brother, Brad Dewberry and his wife, Tina of Acworth, GA; niece, Jennifer Dewberry Pundt, her husband (Carl Pundt) and her daughter, Ella Long of Greenwood, SC; Lydia Dewberry of Acworth, GA; and many loving extended family and friends.
A funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 14, 2019 at 6:00pm at New Hope Baptist Church, 3814 New Hope Church Rd, Acworth, Georgia 30102, with her brother, Pastor Brad Dewberry officiating.
