Truman Douglas Calhoun Jr.

Truman Douglas Calhoun, Jr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend went home to his Savior on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. He is survived by Linda, his wife of 46 years, and his daughters and sons in law, Jennifer Ward (James), Jessica Calhoun, Joanna Caldwell (Steven) and his grandchildren, Mara Lee, Cameron Douglas, and Elijah Truman, as well as extended family and many wonderful friends. He is preceded in death by his beloved parents Truman Douglas Calhoun, Sr. and Myrtise Lee Calhoun and he had deep family roots in his treasured eastern Kentucky. Doug was a devoted man of faith with an intense love for family. He was a historian, a muscle car and firearms enthusiast, a skilled man with many interests including model airplanes, off road motorcycles, and baseball. He spent his life well, impacted many, and had a quiet humility coupled with a lovely sense of humor. The family invites you to join them in celebrating his life. The funeral will be Monday, February 5, at 2 pm, with a visitation reception starting at 1 pm at Grace Community Church, 770 Kennesaw Ave, Marietta, GA 30060.
