Tommy graduated from Sprayberry High School where he excelled as an athlete in football and baseball. He was named Mr. Football and in 2015, had his jersey number (21) retired by the school. Tommy enjoyed being around his school friends and still attended the monthly Varsity luncheon with his classmates. He loved to watch his grandchildren participate in their sport of choice, watching college football, and rooting for his hometown Atlanta Braves. Tommy was a retired Captain with the Marietta Fire Department, retiring after 35 years of service. Those honored to know Tommy knew they had a true friend and will cherish his memory.
Tommy is survived by his daughter Kim Cantrell; and his son Kevin Arnold (Jackie); his brother Perry Arnold and his sister Betty Grace Eich; his grandchildren Bryson (Krista), Brittany (Jeremy), Spencer (Morgan), Harrison, Magie, and Macie (Mason), his great grandchildren Colton, Anslee-Paige, Easton, Brookelynn, Kendall, Walker, and Jameson, and several nieces and nephews.
Tommy was preceded in death by his wife Diane; his son in law Jimmy Cantrell; his parents Thomas and Imogene Arnold; his brother Earl Arnold.
A visitation for Tommy will be held Wednesday, August 23, 2023 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152. A chapel service will occur Thursday, August 24, 2023 at 11:00 am, also at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral.
