Susan is survived by her husband of 16+ years, James Ritchie III; children Andrew Angelini and Amy Miller; grandchildren Rowan Angelini, Addison Angelini, Maya Miller, and Hudson Angelini; mother Leda Fide; along with 8 siblings. Susan was preceded in death by her daughter Elizabeth Angelini and father Henry Angelino.
Susan was born on November 27, 1955, in San Francisco, California. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1973. She went on to attend Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, where she graduated in 1977 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture.
Susan spent many years residing in Waldorf, Maryland, while working as a childcare provider, at St. Mary’s of Piscataway Catholic Church, and as a caregiver to friend Donald Benedict. Susan’s faith was very important to her; therefore, she volunteered where ever she was needed including maintaining gardens at various churches and being involved in the Boy Scouts of America. Recently, she loved spending time with her husband, grandchildren, and talking with family and friends. Susan’s passions also included gardening, reading, trying out new recipes, and most of all, spoiling her grandchildren.
No funeral or memorial service is immediately planned. The burial site is to be determined.
