Susan Ann Deavers of Cartersville, GA passed away on September 26, 2024, at the age of 69. She was born on December 15, 1954, in Doraville, GA to Plant and Constance Clardy. She held several jobs over her life before becoming a Lunchroom Manager in the Cobb County School District. She served in this position for various schools across Cobb County until she transferred to Floyd County where she retired. Her life was spent enjoying her husband’s music and fellowship with their beloved friends. She had a great sense of humor and was always up for a fun adventure with her daughter. Susan enjoyed hiking, dancing, and traveling. She also loved her dog, Esther. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Deavers; and son Michael Deavers. Susan is survived by her daughter, Jenny (Bruce) Shaw; three brothers, Chris, John, and Robert; and two sisters, Diane and Gloria. Family and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service at Pine Ridge Memorial Park on Wednesday October 2nd at 2:00 PM. Visitation with the family will begin at 12:00 PM until 1:45 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home.
