Clark was born to Ralph and Blanche Johnson on May 31, 1950 in Marietta, GA. He graduated from North Cobb High School in 1968, attended Southern Institute of Technology in Marietta, GA, then enlisted in the Air Force National Guard in 1970 serving 6 years. After a 4 year apprenticeship program, he began his 43 year career with IBEW Local Union 613 as a journeyman electrician retiring in 2013.
Clark married his wife Sally in June 1973 and went on to have 2 children (Katie and Kim). Proudly together, Clark and Sally designed and built the home they have lived in for 41 years, which has served as the cornerstone for lifelong memories of which will always be cherished.
In addition to being a dedicated and loving husband, father and Papa, Clark also loved playing golf, woodworking, reading, working in his yard, and UGA football. He was a kind soul, expressing the love of Jesus not only through his words, but through his actions. He was a patient teacher, a calming presence, generous in every way, and a role model for his children and grandchildren. He was always supportive and positive, no matter what life threw his way, looking for the positive in every person, situation, or challenge. He was a master picture-hanger, the king of knocking out a daughter’s “Daddy Task List”, a world-renowned model of a proper handlebar mustache, and the best electrician-with-shaky-hands that you’ve ever seen. Throughout his entire life, he held an unwavering faith in God which he shared with those who surrounded him.
Clark joins his parents Ralph and Blanche Johnson, and many generations of family and friends, in heaven. He is survived by his wife Sally Johnson, daughter Katie (Drew) Chrisohon, daughter Kim (Michael) Doran, Grandchildren Eli, Hartley Mae, and Millie Kate Chrisohon and Charlotte and Cheyenne Doran, siblings Michael Johnson, Gail Kitchens, Beverly Clark, Charlie Johnson, and many nieces and nephews.
