Shirley Owens

Shirley Hatcher Owens, the daughter of Bryant and Annie Elizabeth Hatcher, born September 30, 1938 in Newton Alabama, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 4, 2013 in Kennesaw GA. She is survived by her husband Tom Owens, children Tom Owens and wife Gigi, Ann Kirby and husband Mark, and predeceased by her daughter Laura Owens. She is also survived by her sister Ann Nettles and grandchildren, Kyle Kirby, Drew Kirby, Laura Kirby, Ashley Owens and Lindsay Owens along with other relatives and friends. She was a devoted wife and mother whose infectious smile and laugh could light up any room.

Funeral services will be held at 2PM on Monday January 7, 2013 at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw, GA, Rev. Robert Ledbetter officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 12 noon. Contributions may be made to Ross Memorial Nursing Home in Kennesaw, GA or the National Alzheimer’s Association.
