Scott G. Perry

Scott G. Perry, age 59 passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023. Scott was born in Acworth, Georgia to Denette and Don Perry. Scott was in the first class of students who graduated from KSU in 1986. He earned his bachelor's at KSU and went on to achieve his Master's degrees at other Universities. While at KSU, Scott organized and started the Theta Chi Fraternity. He still stayed in touch, and supported, his fraternity brothers and his efforts are being acknowledged to this day by the young students at KSU. The time Scott was able to spend with today's students at KSU was met with excitement, they cherished his contributions and were excited to meet him. Scott's working career was spent within the chemical manufacturing industry as a Chemical Contract Manufacturing Manager. Scott enjoyed his hobbies, such as hiking in the mountains, photography, and his enormous passion for model trains. He was also a man of faith and a member of the First Baptist Church in Cartersville.

Scott is survived by his daughters Taylor Perry, and Kathryn Perry; his mother Denette Perry; his brother Wier Perry (Margaret). Scott was preceded in death by his father Don Perry.
