Sarah was a devoted and loving wife to her late husband and father to her children, James Robert Bagley for 32 years. She was the oldest daughter and preceded in death by her mother Golden Dobson of Calhoun. Also preceded in death by her youngest son Bennie Bagley and her second husband Roger Dick.
Sarah was a long time member of Kennesaw First Baptist Church and Belmont Baptist Church in Calhoun before moving to Kennesaw. Sarah enjoyed her long business career in accounting and administrative positions from Roy Davis Chevrolet to C.W. Matthews Contracting Company. She retired after 31 years service as logistics manager with Burger King Corporation in Atlanta.
Sarah enjoyed traveling to many places with friends and family. Such trips included London, Paris, Jamaica, Bahamas as well as many trips to beaches, casinos and the Smokey Mountains. She enjoyed her many pets as well as decorating, gardening, her backyard pool and Koi pond. Summers were always filled with pool days, with lots of grandchildren, cousins and friends at Grandmother's house. Pool parties, graduation parties, birthdays, weddings, you name it. It happened at Grandmother's house. Always the hostess for bringing the family together. As she was a good cook and always insisted hosting every holiday event for the family. These usually included many friends also. Sarah had a quick wit and was the queen of one liners. She will be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. Not the traditional cookie baking grandmother, she will be loved and missed by all who knew her. She was truly one of a kind.
Sarah is survived by two sons Kerry Bagley and Jerry Bagley and wife Brenda and three daughters, Karen Clarke and husband Tim, Darlene Cook and Denise Craig and husband Stephen; sisters, Patsy Holcomb and Ruth Pass; sister-in-law Ruby Baggett; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren thru marriage and many nieces and nephews.
