Sandra Hester

Sandra (Sandy) Hester, 65, of Acworth, GA, passed away at home, surrounded by her loving family, on April 08, 2025. Sandy was born to the late Geno Persio and Anna Mae Stephens. She is survived by her devoted husband, Dr. Mark Hester; her sons Eric (Kim), Brian (Michal), and Michael; her stepsons Austin, Braden, and Brock; grandchildren Landon, Silas, and Aurora; and siblings Peppino (Ann), David (Maria), and Patricia (Ralph).

Sandy was the epitome of love, strength, and grace. As a wife, mother, and grandmother, she poured herself into her family with boundless affection and devotion. Those who knew her said that Sandy didn’t just have friends; she had *best* friends—those who were blessed to be in her circle of warmth and joy. She built relationships founded on loyalty, laughter, and the kind of care that made everyone feel like family.

Her tenacity was awe-inspiring. Despite her decade-long battle with Scleroderma, Sandy never let illness define her. She embraced life fully, filling it with adventure, travel, and the pursuit of happiness. Her passions included RV camping, boating, and shopping, but what she loved most was simply being with her friends—those who became like sisters and brothers to her. Her home was always open, and her heart even more so.

Sandy’s legacy is one of unyielding love, boundless generosity, and a joyful spirit that will never be forgotten. A celebration of her life will be held at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home on Sunday April 27, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects during visitation, which will commence at 1:00 PM. The service will follow at 3:00 PM, with Reverend Mike Linch officiating.
