Her parents were Georgia Mack Steger and Ferdinand Matt Steger.
She graduated form Banner High. After graduating, she served her country working at Kansas Ordinance plant. This company supplied 35mm shells to our troops overseas.
She accepted Christ at an early age. She loved to read. She liked remembering bible verses and poetry by Henry Wadworth and John Greenleaf Whittier.
She learned the trade of re-styling women's and mens shoes, and was called a Lady Cobbler. Another trade was Invisible reweaving. This skill, she would take thread by thread to reweave the snag or tear to almost completely hide it.
She worked at Boeing Aircraft full-time, she used the re-weaving skill as a part time income. Other talents; wig styling and Tax Preparation.
She absolutely loved telling others how they could have eternal life with the Lord.
She became legally blind and attended Braille Institute in Los Angeles and was Secretary/ Treasurer of the Federation of the Blind, Gardena California Branch.
Ruby is preceded in death by her parents, husband; John Guillory and a sister; Rachel Smith.
She leaves to mourn a daughter, Ethlene, grandson; Anthony (Tracy), granddaughter; Stephanie, great-grandchildren; Tymisha and Nathaniel, Michael and Brandon, great great grandchildren, Nathaniel II, Troy, Tyler and Silas.
A visitation for Ruby will be held Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, GA 30152, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM.
