Ronald Ron Wayne Blackwell

Mr. Ronald ‘Ron’ Wayne Blackwell, age 60, of Kennesaw, GA., passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Blackwell was born on June 9, 1956 in Marianna, FL., a son to Mr. Haskell Wayne Blackwell and Lois Porter Blackwell.

Mr. Blackwell worked for Tie Down Engineering for many years. He was known for his loving nature, kindness to others and, above all, a love for his family. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves and Falcons, and was known for his smoked barbecue. He also had a love for fishing and being outdoors. He was a wonderful husband, father, son and brother; he will certainly be missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Blackwell was preceded in death by his father, Haskell Wayne Blackwell.

Survivors include his devoted wife of 35 years, Cheryl Conner Blackwell; one son, Jonathan Wayne Blackwell of Kennesaw, GA.; a daughter, Lauren Christine Blackwell of Charlotte, N.C.; mother, Lois Porter Barrentine; two sisters, Sheila (Greg) Seal of Cumming, GA., and Donna (Mike) Chappell of Acworth, GA.; several nieces and nephews also survive.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at two o’clock in the afternoon on Sunday, September 25, 2016 in the chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home with Dr. Perry Fowler officiating.

The family will receive friends from six o’clock in the evening until nine on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home.
