Mr. Robert Donald Quinn, age 89, of Marietta, Ga., passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2019. Mr. Quinn was born in 1929 in Easley, S.C., the son of the late Helen and Hubert Sarratt. Mr. Quinn was reared by the late devoted family, Lois and Joseph Quinn.
Bob's life was centered around his love of family and providing for them. He married and remained committed to Anita, who passed in December 2017. Bob kept Anita front and center of his heart and even in his final days, honored and spoke of her. Bob's passion for the automobile industry led him to various professional positions. He enjoyed the aspect of servicing vehicles after the sale, making happy customers by ensuring their car w3as safe and roadworthy. This extended into his enjoyment of auto racing where he enthusiastically rooted for Martin Truex, Jr. The most special role Bob ever held was serving as a Cobb County bus driver. His route was dedicated to special needs children and Dad often told us of their memorable personalities. The parents of these kids saw Bob as an extended part of their family. In 1997, Bob was awarded "Man of the Year" by Cobb County schools. Bob's favorite place to take Anita and his family was Long Boat Key, Sarasota. He was thrilled to see the ocean and stand in the surf to fish. Bob was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend; he will certainly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Bob is survived by his daughter, Nancy Dale of Marietta, Georgia; son, David Quinn of Acworth, Georgia; grandchildren, Christina Dale, Justin Dale, Kimberly Fitzgibbons, and Fawn Beale; great grandchildren, Kayleigh Beale, Quinn Fitzgibbons and Christian Beale.
The family of Mr. Robert (Bob) Quinn will be holding private funeral services to honor his life.
