Robert "Bob" David Owen

Robert ‘Bob’ David Owen, age 47, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away on November 28, 2022. He was a victim of a freak accident on July 31, 2022. He was running in his neighborhood when a hundred pound tree limb fell on him. He spent the next four months trying to recover from this accident, Bob died due to complications. He was a devoted husband to Marie and father to his daughter Rosie. Bob was the best son and fiercest friend. He loved his family and friends and his beloved daughter Rosie. He lived by and always said “He would rather have experiences than gifts. Bob graduated from Georgia Tech with a degree in computer science. And Masters in Computer Science at Hactor Reactor.

He is preceded in death by his father’s parents, John David and Mary Nurnberger Owen Sr. of Red Springs, North Carolina; Mother’s parents, David Joseph and Elizabeth Mattingly Russell of Marietta/Acworth, Georgia.

Mr. Owen is survived by his Wife, Marie Kistner-Owen of Atlanta, Georgia; his daughter, Rosalie S. Owen of Atlanta, Georgia; his mother Kathleen (Kacy) R. Owen of Acworth, Georgia and his father John (Pete) D. Owen, Jr. of Dallas, Georgia; his sister, Angela Pate Ormsby of Minneapolis, Minnesota, his nephews, Alexander T. Ormsby, Andrew R. Ormsby, and Matthew J. Ormsby of Minneapolis, Minnesota; his aunts, Virginia (Ginny) and Perry Dunahoo, Casheres, North Carolina, and Randy and Margaret (Peggy) Holcomb, Acworth, Georgia; his uncles, David E. Russell of Acworth, Georgia, Lawrence (LJ) and Meg Russell, Smyrna, Georgia, Thomas (Tom) and Kim Russell, of Kennesaw, Georgia and Terry and Terrie Russell, Casheres, North Carolina; and by his cousins, Jacob Holcomb, Larry Bryant, Kristy Corrigan, Melanie Villalta, Jennifer Jost, Christopher Russell, Audra Russell and Tori Russell, and their husbands wives and children totaling 19 more immediate family members.
