Robert Jay Nye, age 83, of Marietta, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2020. Robert was born April 11, 1937 to Ethel Burkholder Nye and Jay Nye. He served his country in the United States Airforce , enjoyed golf, fishing, wood working and reading. Robert worked for the Bell & Howell microfilm department
for over 25 years - many of those as manager. Bob later became a computer consultant and owned his own successful business, Microtronics.
He was a loving and devoted husband to his wife Jacqueline for 64 years, a loving father to his children, and a great, grandfather to his grandchildren. Robert enjoyed time with his family and will be greatly missed.
Robert is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Huey Nye; son Bradley Jay Nye (Kathy); daughters; Molly Wells (Keith); Pamela Turoff (John); brother Jack Nye and sister Judy Cassner; grandchildren; Miles Nye, Dorothy Nye, Dylan Jay Nye, Lucy Nye and several nieces and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; Jay and Ethel Nye, and brother Larry Nye.
A gathering and visitation for Robert will be held Saturday, August 29, 2020 at 1:30 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Saturday, August 29, 2020 at 2:00 PM burial will follow service at Pine Ridge Memorial Park, Kennesaw GA.
