Robert Mitchell

Robert B. Mitchell “Bob,” 82, of Kennesaw, died Thursday, September 10, 2015. A funeral mass will be held Monday, September 14 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church in Kennesaw with Father Mark Starr officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at 2722 Summers Street, Kennesaw, GA 30144, attention Sandra Bryant.

Mr. Mitchell was born in Worcester, MA and served our country honorably in the U.S. Army. He spent his working career in the banking industry with Wells Fargo where he retired as Vice President. Bob enjoyed international travels, especially to his beloved Ireland. A man of faith, Mr. Mitchell was a member of St. Catherine of Siena and his charitable works included volunteering with St. Vincent de Paul Society and Med-Share.

Mr. Mitchell is survived by his wife of 60 years – Nancy Mitchell of Kennesaw, son – Thomas Mitchell of Kennesaw, daughters – Cathy Mitchell of Chicago, Beth (Vaughn) Llamazales of Acworth, Laura (Thomas) Givens of Woodstock, grandchildren –Emily and Patrick, and his brothers – Vincent Mitchell of Shrewsbury, MA and William Mitchell of South Yarmouth, MA.

The family will receive friends on Sunday at the funeral home with a rosary service beginning at 6:00 p.m. and visitation from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
