I did not know Ricky a very long time, but I remember we were sitting at Carroll Martins table about five months ago talking and he said he had not felt this good in a long time.He preached Mr. Martins funeral back in July of this year, I know he will be sorely missed by his family and friends. I am so sorry for the family's loss. You are all in my prayers. Ricky has always been a great and true friend to the Whitten family. He will be missed but we will all be together again.

My daddy and momma met when they were 14 years old. They married when they were 18. Their birthdays were only 5 weeks apart so they were always the same age all but the 5 weeks out of each year. My daddy was in the Air Force when they married and I was born 3 days shy of their 1 year anniversary. My brother came along 18 months later and our family was complete. My brother and I are not perfect but we could not ask for more perfect parents. We were loved well beyond the extents of our imaginations. We are still loved today. My daddy loved my momma and she loved my daddy, that I saw day after day throughout my life. This month they would have been married 45 years. They were soulmates, best friends, companions, shopping buddies, and completed each other in every way. I love daddy and momma. I want to honor my daddy in every way I possibly can because he was everything to me. He took care of us in so many ways and I will never forget the most important thing he taught me and that is to hold to God's unchanging hand in a world that is forever changing day after day. I love my daddy, I want everyone to know that he was so special to us and we will never forget him.

Ricky was a huge influence and a true blessing to me and my entire family! We love and miss him very much! Paulete, you know you are in our thoughts and prayers!
