Phillip "Phil" George Pflueger, of Marietta, Georgia passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2023. He was born on December 12, 1941 in Elgin, Illinois, survived by his sister Judith M. Collins (William E. Collins) and his significant other Patricia Rau. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Pflueger and Mary (Siirila) Pflueger.
Phil enjoyed square dancing, ham radio, tinkering with electronics and refurbishing old computers. He was also a member of various local Amateur Radio clubs. He was an electrical engineer working for Sylvania, Calspan, Georgia Tech and other corporations. He was a graduate of University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and received his Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from University of New York, Buffalo.
Phil will be loved and missed by all that knew him.
A visitation for Phil will be held Monday, September 18, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow the visitation at 1:00 PM at Pine Ridge Memorial Park, 2950 Cobb Parkway North, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152.
