Nancy Cook

Nancy M. (Ryan) Cook, 70, of Acworth, died Thursday, April 7, 2016. Funeral mass will be held Monday, 10am at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 850 Douthit Ferry Rd, Cartersville, GA 30120. She was the daughter of the late John and Marion Ryan of Cohoes, NY.

Mrs. Cook worked as a consultant to Nursing homes for many years, a career she thoroughly enjoyed, as she loved helping others. Her hobbies included shopping, cooking, spending time with friends, crafting, and volunteering at Kennestone Hospital, the Marietta Welcome Center, as well as ST. Francis and ST. Clare Churches. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Cook is survived by her husband – Jim Cook of Acworth, daughters – Maureen Cook Zeo and husband Ryan of Acworth, Elizabeth Cook Waite and husband Tony of Acworth, and her three grandchildren – Lauryn Zeo, Brayden & Camden Waite.

The family is receiving friends on Sunday from 4-7pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Clare’s Missions Building Fund at 6301 Cedarcrest Rd Acworth, GA 30101 or to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society at www.nationalmssociety.org.
