A Beautiful Soul whose light would spark the light in those around her. 
 
Her smile would brighten up even the darkest room.
 
She mastered the art of staying focused on the task at hand, while making sure everyone around her was okay. 
 
Non-judgmental, supportive, compassionate and self-disciplined – she effortlessly motivated you to do and be your best.
 
Even with all of her accomplishments, intelligence,  beauty, and internal JOY, she wouldn’t brag or boast, instead she would inspire your inner strength.
 
 Her character was impeccable, Her strength silent yet fierce, giving her the resilience to persevere through life with such fearlessness, integrity, fairness, and positivity.
 
So DeLIGHT-FULL… You lived from your light, which sparked the light in others and in such a FUN way…

Sending my condolences to the family.  I have known Mirlene for many years, and we worked together on different teams at Autotrader.

Mirlene was always positive and had the biggest smile.  We always laughed when we were together and introduced ourselves to others because people would get Mirlene and Marleen confused.

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Mirlene. She was such a warm and friendly person, and I truly enjoyed working with her. We often talked about our elderly relatives—my grandmother and her aunt in Alabama—and those conversations always brought a smile to my face.

Mirlene's kindness and positive spirit made a lasting impact on everyone she met. Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this difficult time. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Mirl and I met in grammar school and have kept in touch ever since. A sweet sweet soul. A wonderful friend. My deepest condolences to the family. May the God of Comfort bless and keep you all during this difficult time. Mirl will be greatly missed.  I love you Mirl 🙏🏾❤️

There is a huge hole in my heart when I think of Mirlene.  I will miss her so much, but I will hold on tight to all the good memories we shared.

Mirlene was one of a kind, and exactly the kind of person that the world needs much more of! She was always positive, incredibly dependable, and the first to volunteer. I was amazed by her interest in learning. Having worked with databases, she was first to tell me she needed to learn about economics to better support what our team was trying to do. We had many early morning coffees before anyone else was around to discuss Economics 101. Soon she became a regular attendee at the Atlanta Economics Club, where she was eager to meet the broader community in Atlanta and talk with the guest lecturers.

She also loved music, and we both shared a fondness for Prince. She introduced me to Music by Aerotheon, which I'll go to when I need to think about positive things and remember Mirlene.

We have been missing her these last few months, and now we have a hole in our collective heart that will take time to heal. However, I rejoice that her pain is over and she is in a much better place.

I'll never forget the day we met. Mirlene came to a committee meeting for the expansion of the Sunshine Club at AutoTrader. I loved her immediately. I remember inviting her to lunch. She was resistant to go later telling me she wondered "what does this lady want with me". We laughed about it so often in subsequent days since we became inseparable. I'm so glad she let me kick down the door that led to our friendship! We went for walks, went shopping, worked out at Octane Fitness, and most of all, we laughed! My heart hurts at the thought of her being gone. I know her sweet spirit is now free, but selfishly, I will miss the human frame that embodied her smile and shy gentle nature. We may have been the oddest couple of friends, but that's exactly what made it work so beautifully. Rest well my lovely friend. ❤️

I worked with Mirlene for almost a decade and in that time she never had an unkind word about anyone or anything. Never an "off" day.  Always the ray of sunshine. She was a model teammate and just a great human being in general. Always willing help or take on new tasks with unwavering positivity. She will be missed by all. Irreplaceable. I send my deepest condolences to her friends and family.

Mirlene was a ray of sunshine.  I cannot recall a time when she didn't wear a smile on her face!  Always caring and thoughtful - putting others ahead of herself in the most unselfish of ways.  I will also always remember her as someone that always strived to be better - better for herself, her family and those of us she called friends.  Rest in peace sweet Mirlene... we will miss you!
