Michel was born on August 9, 1956 in Corpus Christi, TX to Lester and Wiebua Hardeman. He grew up in Alpharetta, GA with one younger sister and two younger brothers. Michel attended Milton High School where he enjoyed playing the trombone in the band. After high school graduation, he enrolled in the U.S. Army. While stationed at Biggs Army Air Field in El Paso, TX, Michel met the love of his life, Mary Louise Harmon. They married on December 29, 1976. Eventually they returned to his hometown and later raised their two children together in Kennesaw, GA. Michel soon joined the Air National Guard where he began his training in communications. This was the starting point for his two life long passions- learning about technology and serving our country. Mr. Hardeman retired from the U.S. Air Force after proudly serving with the 283rd Combat Communications Squadron for 39 years. During his time in the military, Michel served on numerous deployments overseas defending our freedom. He had a true love and pride for his country and for all of his fellow colleagues who were more like a second family to him.
A gun enthusiast, he was a proud member of the NRA. Michel’s other hobbies included competition shooting, reading and watching anything SCI-FI, coaching baseball and repairing and building computers. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with and spoiling his four grandchildren whom he loved dearly.
Michel will always be remembered as a confident, loving family man with the biggest heart and an even bigger smile. He was admired, loved and respected by his colleagues, friends and family. He will forever remain in the thoughts and hearts of all who loved and knew him.
