It is with great sadness that the family of Michael Roberts announce his passing. Michael Roberts, 72, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024, at home in Acworth, Georgia after a long bout with cancer. He was born August 31, 1952, in the Green Mountain area of Denver, Colorado to Jack and Barbara Roberts. He was a long-time resident of Georgia and a 1970 graduate of Wheeler High School in Marietta. He married his high school sweetheart, Vanice Wise on December 29, 1973, and graduated from Mississippi State University in 1975. He worked many years in the carpet industry finance and retired from Kennesaw State University in 2017, as a computer support specialist.
He is survived by his wife, Vanice, his 3 children: sons Chris, Nick, and daughter Jessica. Grandchildren: Brody (Nick), Olivia (Nick), Alma (Chris), and Ellene (Chis). He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Barbara, and his brother, Daniel Roberts.
A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive visitors at 4: 00 pm followed by a service at 5: 00 pm.
