Mike was born to the late Michael Joseph Kowalczyk and the late Elizabeth Slepesky on January 10th, 1934 in Broadalbin, New York. He attended Commerce High School in Yonkers, New York and graduated in 1952. He owned "See Avenue Transmission Shop" in Mahopac, New York and later owned "TPS Transmission" in Kennesaw, Georgia. Mike was an avid NASCAR fan, loved the beach, loved his family, would help anybody that needed it, and always loved to be around people and great conversation. Mike was a joy to be around and leaves behind a legacy of love and friendship.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Elizabeth Kowalczyk, and sister, Francis Rentz.
Mike's memory will be cherished by his loving wife, Dot Kowalczyk of Kennesaw, Georgia; daughter, Doreen Wanco of Cartersville, Georgia; sons, Michael Kowalczyk of Kennesaw, Georgia and Jim Kowalczyk (spouse Christine) of Dallas, Georgia; grandchildren, Nicole Keenan, Shannon Williams and Isabella Kowalczyk; great grandchildren, Easton Keenan and Chloe Williams; and many extended family members and wonderful friends.
A public visitation for Michael "Mike" Kowalczyk will be held Sunday, April 10th, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152. Funeral service will be held Monday, April 11th, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the chapel at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home with Deacon Stephen Ponichtera officiating.
