Maxine Cassel

Maxine was a public servant who retired from the Georgia Department of Labor. An avid fan of the Atlanta Braves, Maxine’s favorite pastimes also included crocheting and quilting. She loved to travel and often went to Hawaii with her late sisters, Marguerite and Malene.

Maxine Cassel leaves to cherish in her memory, niece, Teresa Meeks and her husband Dale; Nephews, Steve Powell and his wife Susan; Don Powell and his wife Hayat; many grandnieces, grandnephews, great grandnieces, great grandnephews; and her fur baby, Mya.

The family of Maxine will receive friends for a visitation on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home. A funeral service to honor her life will be held at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home immediately following the visitation. Maxine will then go to her final resting place at Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville, GA on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at 5:00 PM.
