Mary Angelyn (Hammontree) Fuller, 77, of Rome, Georgia passed away in hospice care on Friday, June 21, 2024. Angie was born in Rome on January 14, 1947, oldest daughter of the late James Farley Hammontree, Jr. and the late Doris Nell (Robinson) Hammontree. All are welcome to a visitation that will be held Monday, July 1, 2024 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, GA 30152. A celebration of life and remembrance service will be held at 7:00 pm for anyone to attend and will be officiated by her nephew, Rev. J. Scott Fuller.
Angie is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Ronald Gary Fuller. She is also preceded in death by her sister Connie Sue (Hammontree) Yarbrough, and aunt Emmagene Hammontree. She was also preceded in death by her beloved 16 year old Pomeranian, Sugar Bear.
Angie is survived by her son Todd Fuller (Nikki); daughters Melanie Gustafson (Rick), Jodie Giardino (Tommy), and Kimberly Klein (James); her fourteen grandchildren Brent (Candice), Chase, Justyn, Savannah (Jeremiah), Kailey, Shane, Madison, Lilly, Cooper, Jackson, Emma, Gracie, Griffin, and Peyton; and three great grandchildren Meilani, Beckham, and Miles. She is also survived by her sister Janie Quick (Randy), niece and nephew Kristin and Jay, as well as her close family friends John and Shirley Andrews and their children and grandchildren.
Angie was a devoted wife, mom and granny to a large loving family that she poured her life into. She was a dedicated caregiver in all aspects of her life and was a certified nurse assistant caring for elderly patients throughout the span of her life for 50 years. Angie took care of hundreds of people unselfishly and the love for babies and children was special. She truly found fulfillment in her role as Granny to all her grands and great grands. Sugar Bear was leading the pack of all the fur babies her heart touched, even the neighborhood stray cats. She leaves behind a legacy of love. Angie modeled the traits we should all aspire to by being selfless and kind, loving her neighbors more than herself. She never had a bad thing to say about anyone. She enjoyed reading, watching cooking shows, Hallmark movies and baking sweets, of course. Christmas was her favorite time of year. The beach was a special place to her. She had many good memories by the water, with her family. After the loss of her husband, she found a strength and independence she didn’t know she had. She was an angel on earth.
Angie will be laid to rest with her husband, Ronald in the Veterans Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Ga on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.
