Mark will be remembered for his caring and self-less heart. He always put his family first. He enjoyed spending time with friends and made sure everyone had a good time. Mark will be greatly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him.
Mark was an avid sports fan, especially football. He began his football career at the tender age of 5 where he played for the Hillsborough Jr Raiders, and continued playing throughout his high school years at Hillsborough High School. His love for football followed him to college where he played at Elon University. After college, he decided to spread his love for the sport by coaching 8th grade football for the Allatoona Football Program in Acworth, Ga.
Mark is survived by his Mother – Sandra (Mike) Baumel; Father – John (Danielle) Hoffer; Brother – Stephen Hoffer; Sisters – Kelly (Brad) Smith, Amanda Hoffer, Meghan Hoffer; Grandmother – Frances Kelly; Niece – Vanessa Smith; and Nephew – Jackson Smith. The family will receive friends during the viewing from 1pm until the service hour on Friday at the funeral home. A celebration of live service for Mark will be held at 3pm on Friday October 5, 2018 in the Chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home. Immediaely following the service there will be a reception to honor Mark at Brookestone Community Center at 5595 Hedge Brooke Dr. Acworth, Ga.
