A husband, father, son, Marine, and Tae Kwon Do black belt, Mark was truly a renaissance man who greatly contributed to his community. Major Mark Camp of the Cartersville Police Department served as an Archbishop with a Doctorate in Theology. Outside of work he enjoyed spending time with his family, learning to play guitar, and communicating with others around the world via Ham Radio with the call sign K4COP.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Scott Camp. Survivors include his wife, Angie McKinney Camp; his two children, Matthew Camp of Phoenix, Arizona and Monica Camp of Kennesaw, Georgia; his father, Howard W. Camp of Xenia, Ohio; sister, Christina Jackson and Randy Kidder of Dayton, Ohio; nephew, Stephen Jackson and his wife Julie of Xenia, Ohio and their two children Logann and Carter.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw.
