A smile that could light up the whole room and one of the most genuine,  caring  people I’ve ever known. You are loved and missed by so many my sweet friend!

Even though we went to High School together only for a short time @ Osborne High Jason was  a wonderful friend & will be missed by all May you RIP buddy.

Lyle never met a stranger! He loved life! Always had a smile and hug for everyone! We went to middle school and high school together! Later down the road we went to church together! He will be so missed! I will miss you Lyle!! 


We knew Lyle since the 1980's when he attended high school with our two sons.  We briefly lost track of him after graduation but that was about to change. Our landscapers had just let us know they were retiring. The very next day, I was outside when a young man cutting our neighbor's lawn, waved to me.  Lo and behold, it was Lyle!  We chatted for a while and it was nice catching up. He said he had his own lawn service!   After that day, he took care of our lawn for decades, always making sure everything looked perfect and beautiful.  Two weeks ago, he mentioned how wonderful this autumn was, how pretty the trees were and how he really loved working outside in nature.  His kind and gentle spirit, his love for his family and of God's Creation were evident in every conversation we’d have.  He spoke frequently about his children and how proud he was of them.  We will miss Lyle terribly but we know, from his life and his faith, that he is now in the presence of his Lord and Savior.  We send our condolences to all of Lyle's family and hope that God's peace and the love of family and friends will be of comfort now and in the days ahead.  


My heart is broken for the entire Garrison family.  Lyle was a gift to the world and to everyone who knew him.  His gentle demeanor, humility and abundant kindness will never be forgotten.  I’m grateful to know he’s with Jesus and we will see him again one day.  You all will remain in my prayers.

Our condolences go out to the family of our precious Lyle.  His beautiful children will carry his love and memories forever.  We went to church with Lyle and his family from FHBC to Gracepoint.  He was involved with my son’s youth group.  He worked on my mommas house (& loved her lemon pound cake).  He prayed over my children.  I love and will miss you Lyle!  I will see you in heaven. I don’t even know where to start. Let me see, this is very hard for me , but it’s not about me so I will try to get through this. I Lost a part of my heart Saturday, Lyle Jason Garrison had been in my life for ever , through my boys I felt like I had three boys in my house. He would just come right in the back door with a “I’m home” and just like my boys would go straight to the refrigerator. He called me momma2 I loved him like he was mine so thank you momma Garrison for Sharing this wonderful human with me. We stayed in touch for years but lost track of him when he married. We moved to Dallas and low and behold come to find out he did to, just a couple of Street from us. That was probably  15 years ago. He was so special and loved his family, his kids was his life didn't matter if they had luggage they brought while they was trying to find there way. I would cook a meal he would stop by to eat and he would talk bout witch one he was worried about that night. He loved y’all so much. I just want to thank his family for sharing him with me. God bless u my son, and ur family don’t ever think u was not loved. 😢💔 

Reaching out to all of you in this time of sorrow at the loss of someone so dear and special. The world was a better place because of Lyle.  We knew him and his family at Fortified Hills and again at Gracepointe.  We knew his love of the Lord and his gentle heart.  We felt his kindness when he always asked how we were doing.  Please know how very much you are cared about and how deeply your loss is felt by all.

Lyle was the most honest friend anyone could ever ask for. He always had the right words when you needed to hear. He would definitely let you know if you were needing to look at the situation from the other sides. One of my fondest memories was at Fortified Hills Baptist and the youth had rented a joust inflatable and Lyle challenged me to a joust. I hit him one time and he said he saw stars and then the battle began. We were both wore out from the battle. He gave my son his first job. He helped him become a hard worker and they remained friends ever since. The world lost a good man on Saturday. 

He was a light in this gloomy world.  Had a wicked sense of humor, allowing us his friends to laugh when the world is going crazy.   He was the sweetest human being.   Found beauty in the simple things in life.   Thank you Lyle for a life well lived!

Lyle was a wonderful,caring and intelligent man. Our lives are richer just by knowing him. He will be forever missed. He touched my life more than he ever knew.
