Lucille was very strong in her faith and attended church religiously. She had a close relationship with the Lord and led her family the same way. Lucille was family oriented and instilled her relationship with God to her children among many other attributes. She came from a large family, being the youngest of twelve children.
Lucille enjoyed quilting and sewing baby blankets for her family. One of her favorite things to do was to bake for her family. She dressed in formal attire from head to toe and conducted herself in a very proper manner. Christmas was one of her favorite holidays and she also made ornaments for her family as well. Lucille was a very neat and organized woman, constantly keeping her home tidy and never taking any shortcuts. She took pride in her home and the upkeep.
Along with her parents, Lucille is preceded in death by her husband, Francis Murphy; brothers, Harold Danzer, Bill Danzer, Ollie Danzer, and George Danzer; sisters, Margaret Kessel, Lilly Garbe , Lorraine Zimmer, Eleanor Griffone, and Martha Rankin.
She is survived by her son, Charles (Jerry) Reeves Jr. and Robert (Meg) Reeves; daughter, Gayle (Ray) Smith; sister Doris Geeve; eleven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.
A funeral service to honor Mrs. Lucille Murphy will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at two o’clock in the afternoon. She will be entombed at Pine Ridge Memorial Park following the service.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home from five to eight in the evening.
