Lorraine Volk

A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 29, 2pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday beginning at 1pm.

In lieu of flowers donation have been requested to be made in memory of Lorraine to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675 or woundedproject.org.

Mrs. Volk was a WWII Veteran and served our country honorable during the war in the US Marine Corps. Lorraine was a nurse for over thirty years prior to her retirement. In her retirement she enjoyed several hobbies, sewing, crochet, cooking, crossword puzzles, and shopping. Shopping was her favorite, and the one which she shared with her daughter, Johnette. Lorraine will be remembered by all knew, and loved her, as a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

Lorraine is survived by her husband – Charles A. Volk of Acworth, son – Deane Mazur of St. Louis, MO, daughter – Johnette Hegedus of Kennesaw, stepdaughters – Cynthia Templeton of Middlefield, OH, Penny Volk of Gary, IN, brothers – Robert Kreutzian of Luck, WI and Bruce Kreutzian of Cannon Falls, MN. She is also survived by grandchildren – Lindee, Nathan, Johnathon, Brandon, Erica, Jennifer, Melissa, along with 7 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren,
