Laura Cox, age 66 passed away on Friday, March 3, 2023. Laura was born in Rome, Georgia to Grace and Frank Padgett. Laura was of the Baptist Faith and she enjoyed spending time with her family. Her working career was something she enjoyed as well and her role as the Deli Manager with Publix was delightful. Laura loved everyone and her memory will be cherished by all who had the honor knowing her.
Laura is survived by her daughter Shannon Boatman (Creig); her mother Grace Padgett; her brother Boe Padgett and her sister Becky Smith; her grandson Joseph Boatman, her granddaughter Sophie Boatman and her great granddaughter Melinda Duval. Laura was preceded in death by her first husband Robby Cox and her second husband Leonard Duval; her father Frank Padgett.
A visitation for Laura will be held Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152. Following the visitation will be a chapel service at 2:30 pm. Laura will be laid to rest in Pineridge Memorial Park, 2950 Cobb Pkwy NW, Kennesaw, GA 30152-2606.
