He was born on December 6, 1933. He was the son of Ruby and Bowden Suddeth, also of Elberton. Kenneth served in the US Army, stationed in Germany from 1953 to 1955. After returning to the States, he married Geneva Sanders of Hartwell. They remained married for 64 years until her death in 2022.
Kenneth began his career as an aircraft mechanic with Lockheed; later he worked for Delta Airlines where he remained for over 31 years.
Kenneth had a long life and enjoyed the simple things; fishing, bbq, good Brunswick stew, fresh Georgia peaches, homegrown tomatoes, pecans, and strawberry ice cream.
He loved animals. He always made sure the deer and birds in his backyard were fed and had water. He loved all dogs…yes, even Pancho, his mother’s beloved chihuahua, who loved absolutely no one except our grandmother.
Kenneth also loved long road trips. He made several excursions out west with Geneva seeing all the sites that up to then he’d only seen on television or in books. He and Geneva even traveled to Alaska…by car…because he wanted to take the time to see the country up close rather than flying over it.
Kenneth will be interred at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton in a simple graveside service on a date to be determined. Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to alz.org.
Kenneth is survived by his sons Ron (Nancy), Dan (Julie), daughter Annette (Tom), along with his brothers Harris and Norman Suddeth, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
