June M. Simon

June M. Simon, age 81, of Kennesaw, Georgia passed away on Sunday, August 11th, 2013. Private family service and interment will be held at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet the Family on Friday, August 16th, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw.

June was a long term resident of Kennesaw, Georgia, She was born in Oshkosh, Wisconsin on June 25th, 1932 to Ferdinand O. and Ruth (Spiering) Zimdars, She grew up in Oshkosh, and Racine, Wisconsin. She graduated from William Horlick High School in Racine, Wisconsin in 1950.

June married William T. Simon, Sr. on February 16th, 1952 in Racine Wisconsin. They were happily married for 60 years. June was an enthusiastic mother and homemaker. She enjoyed golf and bridge over the years and was known as a gifted shopper. She also enjoyed being active in her grandchildren’s lives, attending many school and athletic events for them over the years. She spent her life doing for others and will be remember as a loving and giving wife, mother and friend. Our hearts are broken, but our love for her is endless.

June was preceded in death by her husband William, parents Ferdinand and Ruth, and brothers Fred and Richard.

Survivors include her sons William Jr. of St. Paul, MN, Jeffrey of Kennesaw, GA., Charles of Woodstock, GA., Daughters and son in-law Christine and David (Bowling) of Clermont, FL., Sara (DePhillips) of Seminole, FL. Grandchildren – Adam and Amanda Bowling. June is also survived by her cousin Jane, sister in-law Judith Zimdars and niece and nephew Alisha Lichtenwalner and Eric Zimdars, friends and bridge ladies.
