Joyce L Walton

Mrs. Joyce Lee Walton, age 86, of Sevierville, Tennessee, formally of Kennesaw, GA., passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2017. Mrs. Walton was born on June 30, 1931 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the daughter to the late George L. Steinback and Alice H. Steinback.

Joyce spent most of her working career as an Administrative Assistant for Honeywell Avionics and thoroughly enjoyed her job and the colleagues she met along the way. To say Joyce lived an infectious and vivacious life would simply be an understatement. The joy she continuously brought to the people around her was remarkable, always an immediate friend to everyone she met. Along with her husband Warren, Joyce raised three daughters whom she was more than an incredible mother to. Her daughters would quickly tell you their mother created and completely shaped them into the women they are today. Joyce was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend; she will certainly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Along with her parents, Joyce is preceded in death by her late husband of fifty-eight years, Mr. Warren Wesley Walton.

She is survived by her three daughters, Linda Gaines, husband Larry, of Sevierville, TN, Valerie Lombo, husband Gary Schubert, of Allentown Pennsylvania, and Joyce C. Walton, wife Dana Jay, of Seattle Washington; five grandchildren, Jimmy, Anthony, Nick, Jennifer, and Kristin; a step-grandchild, Joshua; nine great-grandchildren; and extended family members and friends also survive.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at eleven o’clock in the morning on Monday, October 2, 2017 in the Chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home with Clay Alexander officiating.

A visitation with the family will take place from ten o’clock in morning until the time of service on Monday, October 2, 2017, at the funeral home.
