Joyce H. Routh

Joyce H. Routh, age 72, of Kennesaw, Georgia passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023. Joyce was born in High Point, North Carolina on March 26, 1951, to the late Wesley Hornaday Jr. and Irene Hornaday. She was a wonderful homemaker for her family, and she aspired to be a great mother and wife. Joyce's favorite time of year was Christmas, and she was often counting down the months or days until she could celebrate her favorite holiday with her family. In her younger years, Joyce enjoyed cooking, baking, and going to the beach. Most of all Joyce loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Joyce will be missed by all that knew her.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 53 years, Thomas Routh, son; Steven Routh, daughter; Cindy Routh, sisters; Deborah Hornaday and Mary Hornaday, grandchildren; Jason Whidby, Michelle Bozarth, Makenzie Routh, and Brianna Moon, as well as 10 great-grandchildren.

Joyce is preceded in death by her beloved dog, Precious.

A service for Joyce will be held Thursday, July 13, 2023, at 6:00 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152. Joyce's visitation will occur Thursday, July 13, 2023, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The burial will occur Friday, July 14, 2023, at Georgia National Cemetery, 1080 Scott Hudgens Drive, Canton, Georgia 30194.
