Joyce Geraldine Maddox

Joyce Geraldine Maddox, age 89, of Smyrna, Georgia passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022. Joyce was born January 6, 1933, to the late Johnny and Lizzie Smith in Atlanta, GA. Joyce was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Smyrna for 13 years. She was active in her church and in Sunday school. Joyce loved God and was very strong in her faith. She loved her family and always wanted to spend time with them. Joyce was a loving daughter, wife, mother and friend. She will be missed by all that knew her.

Joyce is survived by her son Stan Maddox (Terri Rowan); and her daughter Rhonda Beatty (Paul); 8 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, and her daughter-in-law Stephanie Maddox.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Idus Maddox, her son Anthony Maddox and her daughter Joyce Maddox Glass, her grandson Ray Golden Glass Jr, she is also preceded in death by her 5 brothers and 2 sisters.

A visitation for Joyce will be held Monday, October 10, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152. A funeral service will occur Monday. The burial will occur Monday, October 10, 2022 at Holly Springs Cemetery, 2799 Holly Springs Rd NE, Marietta, GA 30062.
