John Papazian

John Francis Papazian, 61, of Hiawassee, Georgia, passed away into God’s loving arms on June 5, 2015. He combined his love of travel with a career in international finance, residing in Japan, Hong Kong, Korea, Australia and Papua New Guinea for over 20 years. John was the consummate collector of stamps, coins, hats, corks, but took special pride in his extraordinary group of friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Levon, and his niece, Sarah Crider. John is survived by his wife, Donna, of 32 years; son, Jonathan; daughters, Alaina and Channah; mother, Jean Papazian of Jasper; sister and brother-in-law Ginny and Cliff Conover; niece and nephew, Lee Ann (Brian) Barton, and Spencer Schlampp; along with in-laws, Joyce, Charles Jr., Chris, and Leslie (Paul) Dobson. His hope in the Lord allowed him to soar on “wings like eagles” for his last great earthly adventure.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 12, 2:00 pm, at McConnell Memorial Church, Hiawassee; and at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Memorial Chapel in Kennesaw, GA on Saturday June 13, 11:00 am.
