Born in Marietta, Georgia, John (Johnny) Marshall Ledford lived a rich and fulfilling life in Long Beach and San Jose, California, before settling in Acworth, Georgia. A talented musician, he found joy in playing country and gospel music on his guitar, sharing his passion for music with family and friends and playing at local Assisted Living Facilities. He also had a love for painting, creating beautiful works of art that will be cherished by those who knew him.
A proud U.S. Navy veteran, John (Johnny) Marshall Ledford served his country with honor and distinction. Following his military service, he enjoyed a long and successful career with AT&T, retiring after many dedicated years.
He was a devoted member of Morning View Baptist Church, where he found a close-knit community and spiritual fulfillment. A graduate of Sprayberry High School, he carried his love for learning and connection with friends throughout his life.
Predeceased by his beloved wife, Erma, John (Johnny) Marshall Ledford is survived by his loving children: Karey Guerra-Wilson, Kevin Ledford, Krista Bradshaw, Kim Spence, and Sean Ledford; stepson Billy Sherrod; and 11 beloved grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to visitation and services at Winkenhofer Funeral Home on Saturday, August 10 to honor and remember the life of John (Johnny) Marshall Ledford. His legacy of love, music, and art will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
