She graduated from Jacksonville State University with a double major in Communications and English and a minor in German in 1991 where she was a proud member of Delta Zeta sorority.
She is survived by her husband, Steven Parker; her children, Will, Daniel, and Rebecca; parents, Grant and Glenda Higgins; brothers, Jeffrey Higgins and Jonathan Higgins; sister, Jessica Soler; and aunts, Sandra Hackney and Cindy Higgins. And many cousins and nieces and nephews
Jennifer and Steve met in Memphis, Tennessee where she worked as a Communications Specialist for Autozone. They married in 1996 and moved to Kennesaw Georgia in 2000 after the birth of their first child. There she worked with her sister Jessica to build a nationally known multimillion-dollar group of hair salons here in the Atlanta area. Over the past few years, she started her own business as a digital marketer.
Jennifer loved her family first and foremost. She loved sitting on the deck and looking at the flowers and nature. She especially loved her birds and squirrels for whom she had Steve put out feeders. She loved travel and wasn’t particular about it as she loved the beaches, mountains, and forest the same.
She was a bright shining light who will be missed by many who are left here behind.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Emory Saint Joseph Hospital for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in their final days.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home on Monday, October 7th at 7:00 PM. Visitation with the family will begin at 5PM and will continue until service time.
