Jeffrey Scott Hidden, age 56, of Acworth, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 following a courageous battle with cancer. Jeff was born December 8, 1965 to Ronald and Janet Hidden in Rockford IL.
He lived his life to HELP people (Heal, Equip, Love and Propel). Jeff was a loving and devoted husband to his wife Pippa for 26 years.
After graduating from Harlem High School in Rockford, Jeff went to Oral Roberts University for international business. But God had other plans and in the summer of 1985, Jeff accepted the fulltime call of God on his life. After graduating ORU, Jeff served full time at Family Christian Fellowship in Rockford and then with a ministry in Atlanta, Georgia for five years before starting Mighty River Ministries in January 1996. A few months later, in May 1996, he married the love of his life, Pippa Broom. For nine years, they traveled around the US and other countries ministering in various churches. On March 28, 2005, with the help of founding pastors, Dennis and Colleen Rouse, Jeff and Pippa started Victory ‘North’ Church in the Kennesaw/Acworth area. There Jeff served as senior pastor for 17 years, pouring his heart and soul into helping people. In his last months of life, he transitioned the church into a campus of their home church, Victory Church in Norcross with campus pastors Darius and Melba Dunson, under the oversight of Pastors Johnson and Summer Bowie.
Jeff was the proud and devoted husband of Pippa and father of Moriah (24), Jessica (21), and Josiah (16). He loved them with his whole heart and they brought him so much joy. A loving son, brother, father and friend, Jeff was a very caring person. His family and his faith were his everything. Jeff, we love you and we miss you. The world and our lives were made better because you were here.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Pippa Hidden, daughters Moriah Hidden, Jessica Hidden, son Josiah Hidden, parents Ronald and Janet Hidden, brothers, Steven (Jerilyn) Hidden and Michael Hidden, niece Emily (David) Waystedt and nephew Zachary (Jordan) Hidden. He was preceded in death by his father and mother in-law, David and Maxine Broom.
A celebration of life memorial service for Jeff will be held Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 1:00pm. A visitation with the family from 11:30am - 12:30pm. Both will be held at Victory Church, 5905 Brook Hollow Parkway, Norcross, GA 30071.
