Jean B. Welch

born in Marietta, GA to Clayton and Villa Castille Brown on September 10th, 1929. Jean was a

member of The Order of the Eastern Stars where she embraced the values of sisterhood,

serving others and living for the Lord. Jean attended church at Greer's Chapel. She is best

remembered by her family as having open arms and a welcoming heart, a southern belle who

loved wearing hats and truly loved the fellowship and company of others.

Jean Welch was married to David A. Welch in April of 1969 where they were united for 31 years

of love until he passed in May of 2000. Mrs. Welch leaves behind a host of family members

such as her daughters: Betty Thackston, Cheryl Tyndale (predeceased), Ann Bradley, Melinda

Poole; a son David Welch III; her brother Kenneth Brown and 8 grandchildren and 14 great

grandchildren.

Mrs. Jean Welch will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Funeral Services will be held at

Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home on Thursday, August 10th at 2:00PM..
