James Clarence Lee, 52, husband of Phoebe Holland Lee and father of Kaitlin Brenda and Stella Jean Lee, died at his Kennesaw home, Saturday, May 1, 2021. Jimi was born January 5, 1969, in Salina, Kansas to Jeanne Shanahan Lee and the late James Otis Lee. Jimi graduated from Hammond (Indiana) High School and moved to Marietta, Georgia in 1987. Here he met the love of his life, Phoebe Ann Holland, whom he married Oct. 9, 1999. Jimi was a Cobb County Water inspector for 17 years.
In addition to his mother, wife, and daughters, Jimi is survived by his brother, Jason and wife Sandra D. May-Lee, and nephews, Justin and Kipton; and nieces Brittney and Kinsely; father-in-law Weems “Butch” Holland, Jr., Decatur, GA; brother-in-law Weems “Butchie” (Penny) Holland, III; and Kaitlin’s fiancé Christopher DeLay, Acworth, GA. Jimi leaves behind aunts, uncles, many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors—too many to name—who share memories of his sense of humor, pursuit of adventure, and devotion to his extended families. Jimi’s mother-in-law, Brenda King Holland, died in 2000.
His endless adventures included riding his Harley, camping, scuba diving, beach trips with his family, skiing in Colorado, and vacationing in Europe. He always had a good time with his extended family and friends. He was devoted to his girls and was always available whenever anyone needed help—whether they asked or not.
The family will welcome visitors, Friday, May 7, 4 to 9:00 pm and Saturday, May 8, 10 to 11:30 am, at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 Cobb Parkway, NW, Kennesaw, GA. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 8, 12:00 pm at Four Points Church, 3565 Dallas Acworth Hwy., NW, Acworth, GA 30101. Light refreshments will be served at the Fellowship Hall after the service. The family will have a catered reception at The Red Top Mountain Shelter number two after the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to Four Points Church, the American Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice.
