Hermes François Jules passed away suddenly on January 7, 2025, at the young age of 63. Hermes was born in Cap-Haïtien, Haiti on March 12, 1961 and resided in Acworth, Georgia with his family at the time of his death. Hermes was beloved by so many. He was a dedicated husband, father, and brother. He will be remembered for his passion for Christ; his gift for providing wise counsel to both loved ones and strangers, and his kind, humble heart. Hermes had a calm and serious disposition, yet he could always make the whole room burst into laughter with his jokes and cleverness. His hobbies included reading his Bible, going to live sports games with his son, watching movies, and listening to music. He enjoyed long conversations with his daughter Naomie and was her confidant, teddy bear, and protector.
Hermes Jules was a faithful, loyal, consistent, dependable, and very disciplined man. He worked for the Department of Juvenile Justice at Devereaux Behavioral Health for 25 years, and has redirected the path of countless young men as a direct-care provider and counselor. Hermes is survived by his wife of 34 years, Ulcy Monereau-Jules, his son Hernley, daughter Naomie, nine siblings, and a host of nephews, nieces and cousins.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on January 25 at Saint Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church in Kennesaw, of which Hermes has been an active member for 26 years. The burial will directly follow the Mass at Winkenhofer; with a repast that must not be missed for all who loved Hermes. May his legacy live forever.
