Helen Whaley, 79, of Marietta, passed away Monday, March 18, 2013. Funeral service is Friday, March 22, 1pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw. Mrs. Whaley was preceded in death by her husband Thomas E. Whaley, daughter Sherri W. Fields, and grandson Britt E. Belcher. Helen worked as a Paraprofessional with Cobb County Schools and had retired after 28 years. She was a member of the Powers Ferry United Methodist Church in Marietta and loved to do yard worked. She loved her family, and missed by all who knew her. Mrs. Whaley is survived by her daughter Susan W. Belcher of Dallas, GA; sisters Rachel Wallace of Montgomery, AL and Opal Lewis of Carrollton, GA; grandchildren Jamie E. Belcher, Cassandra Cope, Chelsea Belcher, and Carey Worley. Five great grandchildren also survive. The family is receiving friends Thursday from 7-9pm at the funeral home.
