Guy Edward Cantrell was eternally healed Wednesday, February 10, 2016, after a very long battle with cancer. Born July 22, 1933, and raised in the house built by his father that is now the White Rabbit Cottage on Due West Road, Guy was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and owned The Abbey Florist in Acworth, GA, from the late 1970’s until the late 1990’s. He inherited his green thumb and love of flowers from his late mother Mary Maud Harrison Cantrell. Also preceding him in death was his father Albert Daniel Cantrell; siblings Ruth Cantrell Parson, Mary Lee Cantrell Ellis, Raymond F. Cantrell and Roy A. Cantrell; as well as nephews Harry Croft, Danny Crowder and Louis Ellis. Guy is survived by nieces and nephews, Dianne Parson Milton, Dr. David M. Cantrell, Tony Cantrell, Peggy Cantrell Norton, Harrison Cantrell and Carol Cantrell Hubbard, as well as several great and great-great nieces and nephews. The family will receive visitors at Piney Grove Baptist Church, 1605 Mars Hill Road, Acworth, GA, starting at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 13, 2016. Visitation will be followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am. Burial will be at Mars Hill Cemetery on Mars Hill Church Road, Acworth, GA.
